MLS side LA Galaxy are closing in on signing Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus this summer.

Per Fabrizio Romano, the Major League Soccer side are in advanced talks with the German attacker's representatives and are confident of securing his services this summer. They are currently negotiating the contract details of Reus and are expected to announce the veteran's arrival very soon.

The 35-year-old left Dortmund after 12 years at the end of the 2023/24 campaign as his contract with the Bundesliga side expired. He was earlier linked with other MLS teams like Charlotte and St. Louis City, however, it was LA Galaxy who managed to seal the deal in the end.

Reus left the German club as one of the most decorated players in their history as he won two DFB Pokal and as many DFL-Super Cup titles. He was also part of the Dortmund sides that finished runners-up in the 2012-13 and 2023-24 seasons of the Champions League.

Galaxy, who are third in the Western Conference at the moment, will be next seen in action on Thursday as they take on Colorado Rapids in an important MLS clash.
