A switch to Marseille could see Greenwood work with former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, as he is lined up to take the reins at Stade Velodrome. United, though, are in no rush to sanction a sale and could welcome a product of their famed academy system back into Erik ten Hag's squad for the start of pre-season training before any deal is done – with there still the option to trigger a 12-month contract extension and put another loan agreement in place.
